How to Order

Subscription Service Purchases

The best and most economical way to acquire the Canadian Electronic Library is by subscription. One annual payment, under low pricing scaled by FTE or cardholder, provides  a library system with full simultaneous multi-user access to all subscription titles included to date, as well as those released during the subscription period.

Perpetual Access Purchases

Single titles may be purchased in several ways. Existing ebrary customers may use the eBOP feature on the ebrary partner site for easy, automated and instant addition of titles.
Libraries dealing with wholesalers like Blackwell and Baker and Taylor may purchase CEL titles through these systems.
And individual titles may be ordered using the CEL Title List. See perpetual access pricing here.

The order process for first-time customers:

Step 1

Place your order by signing a license agreement specifying terms and conditions of usage, and place your order by signing this.

Step 2

Step 5

New titles will be activated on your site on a monthly basis (requiring no action or administrative attention from you). MARC records, ready for loading, will also be provided monthly.
