Who we are

Gibson Library Connections Inc. was founded by Gary Gibson in 2002 to provide services of value to both Canadian libraries and publishers.

In 2005, GLC licensed the ebrary platform and established the Canadian Electronic Library.

Gary Gibson

Since entering the information industry in the early 1980s, Gary has held a number of management positions, with responsibilities in sales, marketing, product development and client/vendor relations with Micromedia Limited, SilverPlatter Information and Ovid Technologies.

Bob Gibson

As founder of Micromedia Limited in 1972, Bob steered the company through 25 years, witnessing the birth and adolescence of electronic publishing. He is now applying that experience to building the Canadian Electronic Library and to assisting Canadian publishers seeking engagement with the digital marketplace.

He carries on the latter work through Gibson Publishing Connections.
