Canadian Publishers Collection

This is the centerpiece of the Canadian Electronic Library.

Over 60 leading Canadian publishers have partnered with Gibson Library Connections to distribute their current catalogues of copyright materials through the Canadian Publishers Collection.

These publishers have made over 13,000 titles available for library use through the Canadian Electronic Library.

Through the CRKN consortium*, titles in this collection are accessible to every university library in Canada.

Many volumes and series critical for the pursuit of Canadian studies are available here.

Most of these titles are available either through the CPC Subscription Service or under perpetual access licensing.

  • Over 80% of the titles in this collection have never been available in digital form, including over 1,200 titles from McGill-Queen's University Press

  • Most of the titles in the collection are available electronically only through the Canadian Electronic Library

  • Over 90% bear a publication date later than 1990

"The Canadian library community has made great strides in making digital information available for our users, and this initiative will make another collection of authoritative copyright Canadian materials dramatically more accessible."

John Teskey
President
Canadian Association of Research Libraries
